Cleveland Magazine 01/2016-  present

    • Editorial Intern
      • Fact check articles every week via calls or online research before the print deadline. Responsible for writing 1-4 articles and write-ups for the print issues as well as pieces for the magazine’s website. Interview sources, transcribe interviews and conduct clip research for stories.

The Vindicator 05/2015 – present

    • Editor-In-Chief
      • In charge or running meetings, reviewing articles and editing the cover story for each month. Developed an editing plan for section editors each month. Cultivated story ideas and pitches for each issue, as well as edit stories for the Vindicator’s blog. Handled finances regarding the magazine and assisted in running social media campaigns.
    • Features Editor
      • Consistently wrote 1 article per month for 4 of the print issues, as well as pieces for the website. Assisted writers with cultivating their stories and editing final drafts. Helping writers with interviews and structuring article and contacting various organizations for information for stories for the Feature section. Helped pitch ideas and conducted interviews for cover story for the 2016 March issue.

Cleveland State University School of Communications  Summer 2016

    • Researcher and Co-Author
      • Assisted and co-authored a content analysis about the 2016 presidential election entitled, Donald Trump vs. The Field and Other Political Issues: A View of News Coverage of Primary Campaign. Responsibilities included coding and categorizing 30 articles from the New York Times archives, organizing data into charts and writing the methodology section of the project.
